Thanks everybody for pushing newcomers like us to achieve what seems hard to do it on our own.

It was great, tiring and fun. Team participation does make difference in ones performance. It's only my 3rd ride, but I was pushed to the limit, and with all the members support, I was able to do this. Awesome!!

Nice ride today, especially before the North wind kicks on.

    Weather looks good!

A mix of clouds and sun with the chance of an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon. High around 85F. SSW winds shifting to NW at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

You must have lots of young "beginners" since the older ones I have ridden with (40+) are more in the 10 - 12 mph range - are there any rides available for these people?

You will be surprised how on a flatter course you can gain a few MPH. It is an out and back and all are welcome. West gate is a great road.

    Hello everyone,

My name is Diana and I recently moved to Austin. I would love to join a cycling group but I do not have a bike that I feel comfortable on. I have a rather new, vintage style, Schwinn bike for men. I love riding this bike but the frame is too big for me so a lot of times I hurt myself when I want to stop and set my feet down. Would anyone know where I could trade in my bike for a road/mountain bike? It doesn't have to be new just in good condition.
Please let me know, I would love to join you on rides!!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
