Camp Lucy Ride (Dripping Springs)

New Austin Cycling Meetup member Paul Pinholster would love to have you join him on a weekend stroll around Dripping Springs. All you need to bring is your bike, your smiling face, and a donated non-perishable food or wishlist item. This ride will benefit Hays-Caldwell Women's Center (HCWC). All riders are required to register, but in lieu of an entry fee we ask that all participants bring a non-perishable food item or any of the following HCWC "wish list" supplies: socks for all ages and genders, baby wipes and diapers (sizes 3, 4, and 5), and towels. These items will go directly to women, children, and men who had the courage to leave abusive homes. The Hays-Caldwell Women's Center provides a safe haven for families recovering from abusive relationships. Please help us support HCWC while enjoying another fun ride starting at Camp Lucy. To learn more about this important organization, and to see their complete wish list visit hcwc.org. All levels of cycling proficiency are encouraged to attend. Two loops will consist of 25 & 40 mile options. We will provide: * Central water stop and support vehicle on course * Drinks and snacks pre- and post-rides (hot cider, coffee, PB&J, fruit, etc) * Maps and cue sheets * Ride leaders assigned to each loop Camp Lucy gates opens @ 8:00AM. Rides start at 9:00AM. Map and more info is here:

I enjoyed this ride a lot -- smaller and simpler than some of the big group rides I have tried, and better for it I think. Just wish the pavement on some of those roads south of Dripping Springs was a bit smoother. :-)

Jeanie, I'd be happy for you to ride from Cuernavaca to Camp Lucy with me if you want to drive in half way. Without looking at a map not sure if that would help or not!
