Bee Cave Road - Sunday Coffee & Brunch Ride

NEW TIME During Winter months

Please note a move back to Starbucks.

This ride is ALL LEVELS. We're mostly B riders and we welcome A riders who want a recovery ride or beginners that want a buddy to hang back with them.  We range in speeds from 13 to 16 MPH and some of us will always adjust for the slowest rider.

Our base ride is 16 miles and there are options for riding up to 34 miles depending on who speaks up and shows up.

Please arrive no later than 8:45 am to air up and water up if you need to. Wheels down at 9:00 am this week sharp!

If you've not read our group's safety rules, please read them here.

Ride Leader-Jim Fahrnkopf

Questions email me thru our Austin Cycling Meetup!  Or leave a message for our entire Group to read.

My gloves were @ the shop so thanks to Sam lent me a pair. Also thanks to Sam took us on a side route with no cars & trees & houses gave a little shelter from a cold wind. 9 brisk miles was enough today!

Kimberly and myself are opting out this morning. Though some of you may still ride, not deterred by wet roads or low 40's temps. Those riding bring several layers of biking clothes. Even Dry clothes remaining in the car is always a Good idea for after the ride. And as always slow it down for Wet conditions and ride tighter as a Group. Take Care and see you next Sunday

Day light savings mean it will actually be 8, so don't forget to set your clocks ahead, alarm too! Weather site says 41 and rain in AM.

If you read our Comments after last Sundays Ride in Freezing Rain mid-way thru our Bee Caves Ride you will understand why we will call Off Ride if looks like any Rain or Wet conditions in the early morning. I will keep you posted.

I'm a bit of a noob and average around 9-12 mph. Can I still do this ride?

    March 6, 2014

    • Jim

Yes we can always accommodate for differing Speed Levels. Should not be a problem.
