Beginner and Mamma Jamma training rides!

Our popular beginner bike series is back on Tuesday nights!

The Austin Bike Chix are riding the Mamma Jamma and we want you to ride with them at the event, or at least come train for the Mamma Jamma ride and polish your skills.

We meet by the pond.  You can find the spot on this map: http://tinyurl.com/NWParkPond

All types of bikes (road, mountain, hybrids) are welcome.  Don't forget to bring your bike, a helmet & water. Be ready to roll sharply at 6:30PM.

Any questions, email us; [masked]

And yes, we know it's hot, but the area we ride in is heavily treed (shade!) and we make sure we take water breaks! Bring your swimsuit and jump in the NW pool after the ride!

We'll start out with a about 10 miles then work our way up to at least 18 if not more! Along the way we'll give you pointers and answer all questions.

The Texas Mamma Jamma Ride is a recreational bike ride to raise much needed funds for our central Texas neighbors coping with breast cancer. This festive event saves and improves lives by supporting 11 local nonprofit organizations providing diagnosis, counseling, medication, and support for thousands of our neighbors coping with breast cancer. Since our inaugural year in 2009, the Mamma Jamma Ride has raised an astounding $1,000,000!

Come train with us and join the Austin Bike Chix and ride with our team!or at the very least make a donation! ;-)

I enjoyed this ride very much -- not too easy, not too hard. I appreciate the information that Kim gave about riding safely and the way she described each stretch beforehand so we knew what to expect. I also like that Allison acted as a sweep. My only complaint was that there was too much waiting around to begin the ride after posting that we needed to be ready to roll at 6:30 SHARP.
