This sold out in November. It's back, - for two nights this time. Order tickets online EARLY, as it is expected to sell out again. Missed it last time. Let's pick a night and GO.

Everyone, I am glad you enjoyed the film. I was on site in the lobby at 6:30PM sitting at the tables. I only met with a few members, could not stay for the film. Thanks Mikki for purchasing ADF bracelets. wear them proudly :)

When coming to organized events, if you "sign-in" with the "Meet-Up" app we all know you are there. Also read the messages prior to the event about where we will be hanging out. It is the only way we can successfully met each and everyone. If you do no come early, there is a great chance that members are all ready seated for the film.

Don't fret, we will be planning other non-film events for us to get to know each other better. Keep watching the post, don't forget to download the "Meet-Up App."

Cara - I kept trying to find people, and couldn't get any signal for meetup even in the lobby. Sorry for the disconnect.

Sorry - tugg.com has nothing to do with carpooling. It's a way to bring a film you want to see to a theater near you.

As for carpooling, I'm bringing a guest and we are leaving a bit early (about 4:45) to beat some of the traffic out of south Austin. If you're near south Austin and are game, we can fit at least onerous person in the car; send me a message (not to the whole list) and we can work that out. I've corresponded with the Burn team, and they seem to think that Round Rock is Austin. Or close enough, anyway. We could use Tugg in the future to get it to Austin. Tugg allows filmgoers to purchase tickets for a specific showing - but you're not charged until enough tickets are sold to support showing the film. Richard Linklater was one of the founders of tugg - it's a way to bring indie films to you on the big screen.

I would like to see this, I've seen the Detroit Halloween fires! However, there is no way I could get to Round Rock that time of day. Last Friday, it took me 45 minutes to get to the Arboretum. Is there any chance it will come to Austin?

Not sure, but someone suggested that we car pool. What part of the city do you live in?

We might try doing that through Tugg.com.

Purchase your tickets now before the film sells out. See you there. Doc fans, meet us inside the Brewhouse. I went there today and the facility has tables and lounge chairs. I will be wearing an Austin Doc Fan bracelet

We will be trying out different methods to identify members and fund the group. Check out this link for more info: http://www.meetup.com/Austin-Documentary-Fans/photos/12371182/#[masked]

Would there be interest in a dedicated Meetup session to discuss color correction, color color grading and some DIY ideas for filmmakers in this group? I would like to pass along what I've learned in the last year from grading a number of local documentary films.

Tom thanks for this suggestion. It is a great idea. I just created a poll to determine filmmakers in our group. We can also carry this conversation over to our Facebook page https://www.facebook.c...

Dates on calendar are closer than they appear! Have you purchased your ticket yet?

Go online and print out - and bring with you. Anyone interested in carpooling from south or central Austin to hike to Round Rock for this event?

Will arrange a meeting time and some sort of ID for our group.

You can buy tickets via BrownPaperTickets.com. If you have problems with the website, call the 800 number and a live human being will help you out. Tell your friends about this - support firefighters. If you were in Austin in 2011 and 2009 during the wildfires, you really know how important they are to our communities.

And buy your tix online - you can print them out on your home computer!!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
