Hi everyone and welcome to the seven new members this month,
Please, if you have not yet done so, take 30 seconds to answer the poll (http://dotnet.meetup.com/130/polls/
) to let us know what day works best for the .NET meetup. Note that you can vote for multiple days. As soon as we get some sort of consensus, I will reschedule the next meetup for the chosen day.
Brandon is working on a list of topics for a presentation during the next meetup. He will likely be sending out another message later today... tomorrow? Not sure when, but if you've got some .NET or even general programming topic you'd like to learn more about, be sure to reply to Brandon's message.
I have also opened up the .NET message board. If this is a better format for you, please make use of it.
Anything else? Feel free to send me hate mail, comments, suggestions, Thai green curry recipes or winning lottery tickets.
By the way, I posted a puzzle in the files section (http://dotnet.meetup.com/130/files/
). It is listed as ArrayPerformance.zip. The zipped C# project is just a demonstration that jagged array performance is better than multi-dimensional array performance. I will buy the first drink (coffee, beer, yak's milk, etc.) for the first three people who correctly describe why jagged arrays have better performance. The catch is that you have to answer the poll and show up at the next meetup in order to claim your prize.
