A Walk Down Bootstrap Boulevard

Dear friends,

Last month, we covered Display Suite, the drag and drop layout builder built by Kristof de Jaeger of Wunderkraut. For our next gathering, we'll be approaching from the other end - the back end!

Fortunately for the Austin Drupal community, there are friendly and experienced developers who are happy to share their knowledge. Mike Minecki of Four Kitchens and Lou Scalpati of Patient Conversation Media have volunteered to walk us through the Drupal 7 bootstrap process.

What starts with four short lines of code in index.php might just blow your brilliant mind.

Even if you're a themer or site builder, you will not want to miss this opportunity to go down the rabbit hole and come back up anew. Ask as many questions as you like and enjoy the craft beer and pizza provided by Patient Conversation Media.

Also, a special talk by Matt Vance, author of the FooTable module. Find out how he integrated the FooTable jQuery plugin with Views to offer Drupal users the power to output data in table format with responsive functionality.

See you October 16th at the Capital Factory for some brain-expanding open-sourcery!
