The April destination on the tour of Planet Austin is India! Join us on Wednesday, April 10th at 7pm for dynamic, sophisticated Northern Indian cuisine at the Clay Pit.
Clay Pit pairs traditional techniques and flavors producing unique menu items like Curried Mussels featuring fresh mussels simmered in a garlic & red wine curry sauce; signature entrees such as the Khuroos-E-Tursh, a stuffed Chicken Breast in a Cashew-Almond Cream Sauce; a wide selection of grilled items cooked in a clay pit oven called the Tandoor; as well as exquisite curry dishes featuring meats, seafood and vegetables simmered in savory sauces that are spiced to order, and sumptuous desserts including the Chai Spice Creme Brulee and Mango Cheesecake, which have been featured in Bon Appetit magazine.
In addition to national recognition for their menu, Clay Pit is also a winner of the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence. This recognition is awarded to wine lists that offer a well-chosen selection of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. Whether you're a food lover with a wine problem or a wine lover with a food problem, Clay Pit has something to offer that we can all enjoy!
We have the private Wine Room reserved for our group. Plan to arrive at or after 6:45pm. Dinner starts at 7pm.
For those who are interested in a true multi-cultural experience, stick around after dinner for salsa dancing in the Bombay Room on the 2nd floor. The band starts at 9:30pm.
See you there!
