Announcing a new Meetup for Austin Food and Wine Lovers!

What: New World Wine Series: The Wines of Australia

When: September 29,[masked]:00 PM

Cissi's Market
1400 S Congress Ave
Austin, TX 78704

In the first of a five-part event series exploring the wonders of "New World" wines, we will be exploring the wonderful wines of Australia. The winemakers from Down Under have been making waves in recent years, as their country has gone from being an afterthought in the international wine world to being a powerhouse that is now seriously challenging France and Italy for their share of the global wine market.

Come find out what all the fuss is about. Jeff Brooks will give an informative and entertaining PowerPoint presentation on the history and background of Australian wine, while the staff at Cissi's Market provide representative samples of Australian wine and food pairings to go along with them. It promises to be a delicious and delightful evening!

Cost is $25, payable to Cissi's Market. The wines sampled will be available for purchase by the bottle, with a $10 discount for anyone who buys a bottle to take home.

Please note that, in the event of a full house, the only way to GUARANTEE yourself a seat is to RSVP at the Cissi's website:

Stay Tuned! Future events in the coming weeks will deal with the wines of New Zealand, South Africa, and other New World wine countries!
