Accelerated Product Development with Open Engineering

How can Open Engineering help your product development team go faster?

Many engineering teams believe that “open engineering”, taking advantage of online communities, knowledge, and tools, can help them accelerate their design process.  This talk will discuss tools and actions that your team can take at each step along the design process, from leveraging online communities to generate new ideas, to web-based design collaboration techniques, to rapid prototyping tools.  By reviewing examples ranging from GE’s “Open Innovation” program to online manufacturing sites, participants will learn about specific ways they can use the digital revolution to speed their product development organization.

We're excited to have GrabCAD sponsor food and drinks for this meetup!

I'd love more time to discuss capital, distribution, and manufacturing challenges and workaround with presenters!

Sarah thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure if you stayed for the Cinetics and Supermechanical demos, but they touched on these topics a little, but there is a ton to cover in those areas. Previous meetup speakers and demos have covered lots of these topics. I'd be happy to hear your experience & challenges on these topics with Faster Skates and have you demo in May if you want! Since our product isn't hardware and uses no software, I'm not sure if we fit the bill. But if we do, we might be like to present and maybe have a discussion about some of the challenges in finding awesome suppliers, as well as fulfillment and distribution of products.
