Dean, I'm trying to find a Texas House member who would sponsor an amendment to the Texas Constitution to outlaw the property tax. Can you suggest a member? If we can't get a member can we amend by referendum or initiative? As long as Texas has a property tax, none of us who "own" property really own our property. We are enslaved to the appraisal district in our county, which can take our property at any time, especially in times of economic hardship.
