On a scale of 1-10 (1 being absolute beginner and 10 being native), how would you rate your Korean language abilities?

It depends on what the topic of conversation is, I'd say 6.5? I have a lot of friends who don't speak English. Not surprisingly, one on one conversations are much easier than group discussions.

Why are you interested in learning or improving your Korean?

I have plans to live in Korea and work in translation.

Have you ever been to Korea? Any Plans?

Yes, I live there now.

What's your favorite Korean TV drama? Movie? Musical group? (it's ok if you don't know ;)

롤러코스터 남녀탐구생활 a comedic look into Korean gender relations and stereotypes. I also like older Korean folk/rock: Sannullim, Kim Chu Ja, Yang Byeong-jip, and Hongdae indie bands like 눈뜨고코베인 and Jang-gi ha.

What are your hobbies?

bicycling, gardening, permaculture, filmmaking
