Hands-on workshop to learn how to achieve breakthrough innovation through small carefully crafted experiments.
While running experiments is a key activity in a Lean Startup, running effective experiments that lead to breakthrough insights is more
art than science.
At the earliest stages of the product lifecycle, when we have relatively few customers, we struggle with making sense of seemingly small scale and qualitative customer feedback.
At latter stages, we have the opposite problem - too much data.
Here we struggle to find the right signals from the noise.
Even though the mechanics of running experiments are quite straightforward, most lean practitioners fail to run effective experiments.
- They fail to correctly identify the right experiments to run,
- They over build their experiments, and
- They don't measure the right metrics.
This workshop will teach you how to avoid these pitfalls and instead use a systems approach to craft the right next experiment no matter the stage of your product.
Taught by Ash Maurya
Hi - I am the founder of Spark59, author of Running Lean, and creator of Lean Canvas.
I have spent the last three years teaching and refining this methodology through numerous workshops and bootcamps around the world in places like Austin, Barcelona, Boston, London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Toronto, Tokyo, Halifax, Prague, Montreal, Vancouver, Rio de Janiero, and Sao Paulo.
This workshop will be hosted at the beautiful Capital Factory office in downtown Austin.
What You'll Learn
- You'll learn the #1 most important thing scientists do.
Hint: It isn't running experiments. That's #2.
- You'll learn a system for crafting the right next experiment at any stage of your product.
- You'll use a framework to track and capture learning from your experiments.
- And you'll get to apply all this to your product during the workshop.
Only 10 seats left.
Note: This is a hands-on workshop and you will be required to bring a Lean Canvas of your product to work on.
If you don't have a product, skip the workshop and make room for someone else.
If you don't know what a Lean Canvas is, take this FREE short course prior to the workshop.
P.S. If you can't attend in person, there event will also be interactively streamed live.
