Maybe this is a silly question, but do we get all the same benefits for our $35 (the two .pdfs, the hardcopy, etc.) from attending this talk and paying for it as you do if you just support the Lean Entrepreneur project here: http://custdev.com/The-Lean-Entrepreneur/ ?

Brant - For me I would be interested in an thoughts around the orchestration of the pivot; Ways to present to a team. Ways to script the critical move. I have found that a team can hold on tightly to what they know, even though it is not working, because it is familiar and the the pivot destination is uncertain.

Wow, you all ask tough questions. I think the key is to build these idea into the culture from the beginning. Happy to discuss in more detail.

Brant, I'd like to hear your thoughts on applying Lean Startup to a business that focuses on one-off events, like SXSW. There's market research that might give some of the sociographic info, but product tuning happens in an on-off / ultra-short-window situation.

Good question. Lean Startup is best for endeavors faced with uncertainty versus those that have some sort of "roadmap," ie they've been done many tiems before. That being said, I'm sure we can come up with ways to apply these ideas.

I look forward to meeting you all next week! Anything in particular you'd like me to tackle?

Would love to hear any insights you might have about how the lean model applies to journalism/media startups, as well as an example or two of those you think are doing it right.

Great question. I don't know. We'll have to discuss!

I would like to see the Lean Startup methods applied to spinoff technologies (ie. University patents + tech transfer) - How would you apply lean startup for a hammer looking for a nail?

Brant will also be mentoring at Lean Startup Machine this weekend. $299 ticket price ends tonight. Use the ALSC perk! code "lsmfriend" for a 25% discount. Register at leanatx.eventbrite.com

Look forward to meeting everyone there!

"Lean Entrepreneur"... hmm... I think I've heard someone talk about that recently....

I'm teasing. This has been a HUGE topic of discussion and the discussions spun off from your work have been wonderful and insightful. I'm really looking forward to attending this.
