The Caribbean offers a rich and extended history dating back centuries to the original Taino, Caribe, and other Arawakan peoples throughout the islands. With the influx of African and European influences, a unique culinary haven with exquisite flavors and bountiful aromas developed. Come with us and share in the history, food, people, and fun that comes with eating one of the best and most authentic Puerto Rican homestyle cuisine available in central Texas. Join us for the ride!

Santiago and Solemar owners at Chago's along with their children Santiago and Sol, were amazing hosts, opening the restaurant specially for our gathering. Food was authentic and comforting and delicious! We had a special guest, Pamela, who is doing research around diversity in Austin... looking forward to her results!

It was great to see familiar faces and welcoming Lax to the gathering of amazing and wonderful souls!

I am looking forward to our next food adventure!

Hey KP and Shirley. I am sorry I won't be able to make it today. You guys organize this with so much energy and enthusiasm and I really wanted to make it this time but they're making me stay late at work. It'll easily be 8 by the time I am done. By then, it wouldn't make sense for me to come.

Please keep organizing such events. I really really hope to come for at least one and hopefully make new friends. :)

Hi Lynn, it is north of downtown, on Lamar just south of 183. I hope that information is helpful, I haven't gone that way much myself. ☺

We will have a set price available in the next couple of days. Once we have the information, we will update the meetup so people can RSVP.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
