Samhein is on a Thursday this year, and lots of people will be celebrating before or after. We would like to provide a space for those who may desire company and pagan fellowship on this Sabbat. Please join us for the last harvest of the year. Details of where and what to bring to follow. Costumes will be welcome, but not required.

Update 10/14: Please feel free to bring a side dish, drinks, or desserts. We will be providing a main dish, both meatatarian and vegetarian. We will also have some basic sides and drinks.

I think I missed the location... can someone let me know where this will be?

It's looking more and more as if I may be in town for this...hoping...I suppose I should have mentioned, as others have. I'm in the Druid section of the Venn diagram of Pagans.

Hey there, I'm new to Austin. Looking to meet like minded people. Do you ever have any public events for new friends such as myself to meet and greet?

    October 24, 2013

    • Jennifer H.

Hi Kitty! Well, we are just getting started with our meetings, so we haven't had a public one yet. However, our second event will be in a public setting, so I would you urge you to come check us out!

      October 25, 2013

    • Kitty S.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I have kids though so I probably won't make this one since that day is their fave part of the year. But I will def keep up with you guys for future events. Happy Harvest!

I'd love to attend, and if it's alright I'd like to bring my non-pagan (but friendly and open-minded) husband along too.

I'll bring ginger and cinnamon butternut squash or a fruit salad, depending on how crazy my week ends up being. I can't wait to meet you all.

It looks like a certain gluten-free baker is bringing us some chocolate, caramel or pumpkin spice cupcakes...Exciting!

    What can I bring?

    October 14, 2013

    • Flynn

Feel free to bring any side dish that you enjoy and that would feed 10-15 people. If the dish fits the theme of the last harvest, that's even better.

I'm thinking a pasta salad, unless anyone has other suggestions.

Looking forward to meeting everyone. Waiting to see if location is reasonable for me. A lot of the meet ups I have joined have been to North for me. Merry Meet!

Heather, it's off Anderson Lane and Mo Pac (not to be confused with Anderson Mill). Hope that helps.

    Jenn,
Michael and I will be coming. Do I need to bring anything? I do make a rather awesome pumpkin cheesecake!

Mhmm!! Pumpkin cheesecake for the win!! Yes, please feel free to bring food. We will be covering the main dish and will also have a vegetarian option. :-)

      2 · October 14, 2013

    • Flynn

Yes, pumpkin cheesecake is considered holy and sacred, particularly on Samhain Eve (or any day ending in Y.) ;)

Hi All! Since we would prefer to not post anyone's home address on the page, please make sure to RSVP for the event so we can email you the address. Events in public venues will, of course, have the addresses posted for all to see. Everyone is welcome for our Last Harvest!

Depending on location and perhaps we could meet @ a neutral central Austin spot or take turns.
Blessings and thank you Jennifer for getting this group together.

    October 7, 2013

    • Jennifer H.

That is the current consensus. And, since we are from all over, we can move events around too.

I will RSVP closer to the date, when I know if I need to travel for business or not.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
