This group will initially be primarily oriented toward portrait / model photography, including discussions of release forms etc. The shoots are going to be free or very nearly so. Think in terms of TFCD (trade for cd) shoots with the models. Hopefully we can make this a win/win for the photographers and the models.

Among the things that I would like to see done in this group that will seperate it from some of the other meetup groups :

The idea of constructive criticism. Hopefully everyone that participates will feel comfortable both giving and getting - with the main objective being learning to be better photographers.

Putting a hardware spin on things every now and again - like building you own beauty dish, how to control your camera from your iPad...

I (jimkski) am a complete newb to photography and won't be shy about reaching out to others who know more and tend to take excellent shots. If you have something to offer - knowledge, location, model, ideas please make it known.
