This group is for folks who want to play the great card game of Pinochle. All ages welcome, and new players are welcome -- I'm happy to teach. I grew up playing a variant of double deck pinochle, but we can agree on rules at each meetup. If we have multiple tables going, each table can use whatever rules are agreeable.
The goal here is just to get Pinochle playing people together to play some Pinochle! Friendly folks only, please. Being competitive is fine, of course -- just be nice about it. :)
I haven't scheduled our first meetup yet because I want to wait until some members join. I'm also open to suggestions about where we should meet. I'll be scoping out coffee shops and other similar places in central Austin, to see if I can find something suitable. If we're going to have a small group, we can perhaps meet at one of our homes. We'll need to wait and see how much interest there is.

“Been playing 4&6 handed since was a kid. All night games were the norm with going to school in the morning. Would just have to know what rules because they differ from place to place. BTW 1st Wed is Cribbage night.”
