Mmm, Clay Pit. Its "contemporary Indian cuisine" always wins multiple awards in the Austin Chronicle's annual restaurant poll. Let's Meetup for the lunch buffet! It's $8.50 + tax and they usually have at least 4 vegetarian options. If the buffet doesn't look so hot to you, you can also order from the full menu.

Mold your mind with great conversation while you tantalize the pit of your stomach.

See you there,
Kara

P.S. Please update your RSVP if your plans change!

Hi Rebecca & James. This is a friendly group. You'll feel very welcomed. Kara always bring a "green sign". See you there!

Hey James, I haven't met anyone either. I'm new to this so not sure how it works. anyway, I'm just gonna show up and hope someone can point me in the right direction. :-)

Hey, will the table be marked? This is the first meeting I've been able to attend and I've not met any of you yet.

I adore Clay Pit and probably prefer it to Taj Palace, but the veggie buffet at Taj Palace is pretty amazing. Would definitely make for a fun meetup in the future! Really looking forward to this on Saturday!!

Hi guys - I made us a reservation and they will hold our table until 12:45 so please don't be later than that! Thanks!

If any of you drink and Clay Pit still has the Scrimshaw Pilsner beer on the menu, I highly recommend it. I had it when I was here in March and it was maybe the most pleasant beer I'd ever tasted. It was like dancing through a freshly-mown meadow.

There are definitely other great Indian places in Austin, some of which our Meetup group has been to. My fav is Sarovar for sure, however I do also enjoy Clay Pit. If you don't like Clay Pit, join us at the next Meetup!

I've never been particularly fond of the food at the Clay Pit. For my taste there are much better Indian restaurants. By the way, Taj Palace has a vegetarian buffet on Tuesday nights.
