Once I believed that 9/11 occurred because radical Muslims hate us for our freedoms and Christianity. I thought the Patriot Act was good because, so what if the gov't reads my mail, I'm not a terrorist! I thought the invading Iraq war was right, because aren't we fighting terrorists and liberating those people from a brutal dictator? But my husband was listening to Ron Paul, and he gently told me the truth. It took several months for me to accept the truth, because the truth was painful, hurtful and ugly. Then I began listening to Ron Paul for myself. I read his books, I read other books about economics, I watched documentaries Freedom to Fascism, the Obama Deception, American Dream etc. How did Alan know to listen to Ron Paul? Because Alan was smart enough to know that the establishment was working against us, and for him, Ron Paul was someone VERY DIFFERENT. Alan was strong enough to accept the ugly truth when he heard it, and Ron Paul is the only one telling the truth.
Ending the Federal Reserve and IRS. With out these tools, the government would not have the ability to finance wars we couldn't pay for, endless blood shed, needless loss of life. This is the real evil behind our system of printing money. The second evil is that it violates our rights to own property, to own our own labor, and makes us slaves to the war-machine/war-mongering government. We are endowed by our God with inalienable rights, and those are the right to your life, your body and your property (but not to other peoples' life, body, property). The proper function of government is to protect these rights, so that we may live in freedom/liberty and prosper as we desire. But when the government violates these rights, it sets us on the road to slavery, serfdom and tyranny. Ron Paul advocates legislating based on individual rights, not based on politics.
