Hey there Lynsey - I dug into the Baidu issue a bit more and consulted with the fellow that did the above webinar - he referred me to this article - http://www.seomistry.... I really hope this helps you out... I'll post it to the FB page, as well :)

Reminder for everyone planning on coming to Monkey Nest on Monday morning: If you plan on not coming, please change your RSVP so others can take your place. When you buy your coffee/pastry, please let them know you are in the SEO group. That's what pays for the room. Intros are going to be kept short (You guys are welcome to stay at the coffee shop after the meeting to get more antiquated with each other). We're going to get right into some SEO basics to help John out and then we'll get into international SEO. Again, this is a short time. I don't think anyone will leave the meeting with a solid plan. The hope is that we can get several people to contribute to some of the members problems and we all get ideas to look into for our own projects.

International SEO sounds like an interesting topic to me as well. I have a multi-lingual website as well (about 20 languages). But the foreign versions are just translations. I don't speak those languages and find it very hard to do SEO on those foreign pages. Majority of the traffic are still English speakers.

    Hi Scott,
If there's time, I would like to take a look at a project i have been working on. It involves SEO for one domain, subdirectoried into 4 Asian local sites. If this is something that is interesting to the group and you need more details, just let me know.
    Thanks

Hi Tommy, Thanks for reaching out. My question is international SEO – finding and applying current best practice for Naver, Baidu, Google overseas and Yahoo in Japan to my set of product pages and list of keywords. The best practice info is understandably slim. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

I briefly talked with Alan LaFrance on twitter. He's going to try to make it to help out as well.

We can do very short introductions (a few sentences) and then we'll dive right into the SEO talk. We have the room for an hour and it goes by fast. Remember, you guys can stay longer than an hour. In fact, it's encouraged that you stay and get acquainted. We just have to leave the conference room after an hour. We are going to start off this meeting talking about Johns project. Everyone, please let me know here if you have something you would like to address. If we know in advance here, we can kind of plan to allow time for it. Thanks! I'm looking forward to meeting the new members!
