Downtown with a neighborhood feel - Have you visited the Mexican American Cultural Center? A dancer’s dream come true! The MACC is an intriguing feat of award winning architectural design, and a community center. Plus it’s a museum during the day with a lovely park and plaza on the waters’ edge of Lady Bird Lake (Town Lake).
Come enjoy the beautiful large auditorium with wood floors, it’s a wonderful space, great music, company and dancing; as well as great beginner On2 Salsa instruction with Marion! Volunteer for 1 hour and attend the entire evening free.
As an opportunity to social dance, this is a great space with a fabulous wood floor. There is plenty of room and all levels of dancers are in attendance. Join us for a non-intimidating spin on the salsa social dance floor.
Please come by the Meetup Table inside the hall so we can meet each other. Your sign in is important at all of our events. Thanks.

6 - 7pm, $10.00 - Fun Beginners Salsa Lesson with Marion (Yes, Meetup members attend class – please ask if there are members in attendance so you can recognize each other).
7:30 - 10pm, $5.00 - Pura Salsa Social Dance. The Meetup table is set up inside the main hall at approximately 7:30pm. Please, no outside food or drink, thanks. Ice Cold Water is provided.

We need steady Volunteers to make this great event happen for our salsa community! The event is growing and Fabian and I cannot do it without you! Help us continue to have a great time dancing together at MACC. Volunteers attend the class and the social FREE. Just help out 30 minutes to 1 hour (depending on total # volunteers). Volunteers are needed to:
1. Work the door, sign in, and greet.
2. Bring water from the kitchen (behind the Stage) to the water containers at the door (there’s a cart with wheels).
3. Bring ice to the water containers (from the hallway kitchen).
4. Clean up at the end (very little, just a few plastic glasses).
5. Take trash out (2 trash cans).

“ The music played by DJ Fabian at the MACC is meant to make you move! If you like salsa music and like to dance or even just spectate ...you should do yourself a favor and come out on first Thursday evenings of the month! The floor is beautiful and spacious. Parking is right there...and free! You don't have to circle the place countlless times in searce of a space. It's an early evening so if you're like me and have to be at work at 7:00AM...it's fabulous. The sound system is loud enough to enjoy but you can still talk with peole and not feel as though you have to shout! This venue is truly a bargain for $5.00! ”
