WILD BASIN HIKE - note Daylight Savings Time change

Join us for a moderate 3-mile walk among oak-juniper woodlands and rocky bluffs.  Wild Basin is part of the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve, protecting 8 endangered species and 27 species of concern.  Expect a few easy creek crossings and a waterfall view, as well as several hundred feet of elevation change.  Wear sturdy shoes and hat, and bring water. Pets not permitted in the preserve.  Wild Basin requests a $3 donation (exact change), and the Sierra Club appreciates a small donation also. Please be considerate - if you RSVP yes, then attend.  Attendance will be recorded. (If it's raining and you don't attend, that's understandable.  We're trying to address the issue of persons who repeatedly hog spots and don't show up)  Join us for lunch afterwards.  Co-leader: Claire G

The rain has stopped, so we'll hike as planned... could be muddy in a few spots... may need to jump some small rocks for stream crossing

This cancellation also last minute. Though weather seems like it's better coming from San Antonio, though minimal, probably should consider bad driving conditions.
