St. Edwards Park - hike

We'll hike from the parking lot to the top of the hill and then back down and along the creek side.  Total length will be around 4 miles and no more than 2 hours.  St. Edward's Park has rocky terrain with lots of climbing available.  Hikers need to wear sturdy shoes and be able to hike up hill at a moderate pace.  There is a creek to cross so be prepared to get your feet wet as we will be crossing it twice.

*Park is on Old Spicewood Springs Road* Please look at map link to see exact location. 7301 Spicewood Springs Rd and look for 2nd dirt parking lot.  Small parking lot can be hard to see - look for long rock / iron fence on North side of road - parking lot is across the road on South side.  Darius is the co-leader.

Bring hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes and water. Join us for food and drink afterwards at a nearby restaurant.

The Sierra Club appreciates a small donation.

Are you strict about honoring the sign up list or can wait list people just show up? there are 15 other people beside myself on the wait list.

The two of us are also on the waiting list, and plan to show up anyway. I've been told before that this was okay since many people rsvp, then don't come.

Do you all have a phone # of Darius or someone I could contact in case I am to have trouble finding the lot? Thank you!

The parking lot at St. Ed's is very small. Please consider carpooling to the hike on Sunday. If you are unable to attend, please change your RSVP so that other can participate.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
