Meet & Greet at The Wine Cellar @ Bee Cave - learn more about Austin Sierra Club

Join us for a free wine tasting and craft beer tasting event with light appetizers at The Wine Cellar at Bee Caves.

Experience their hand picked wines from the best known vineyards across the world and discover new favorites from our Texas exclusive range.  We will also be tasting 3 of the 6 new Craft Beers that they are selling. We will have Sierra Club membership information for you.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Austin Sierra Club and our local activities.

Directions:  From Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360), go west on Bee Caves for approximately 8 miles and The Wine Cellar is on the left.

Thank you for setting this up Janis! A bit of a challenge [for some of us] due to HEAVY commuter traffic getting to the place. Long lines on the off-ramps! Nice people, good wines with helpful friendly staff and good food. Wouldn't be too excited about doing that drive again that time of day.

Thanks to all who attended to help make this a fun event. It was good to meet lots of new folks that were interested in learning more about the local Sierra Club. I also appreciated the leadership team that got things going while I was stuck in traffic.

Well, that was a waste of time, since an accident was completely blocking Bee Cave Road both ways and affecting all traffic up and down 360. I saw a cop car go by with the lights on. When traffic stopped moving in the right lane for Bee Cave Road, I guessed it was an accident and went around, saw the mess from 360.

I am guessing that traffic is blocked for several on BCR. If you are taking 71 in to Bee Cave from the south, you should be fine.

The people that got there before the accident will have plenty of beer and wine for themselves...

I would still love to go swimming but I just called the Hamilton Pool line and both the recording and the website say that no swimming is allowed due to high bacteria levels :-(

I was a Sierra Club kid while growing up CUZ my parents were very actively involved in Sierra Club. New to Austin & thought I'd see what it's all about now that I'm a grown up.
