Chilly, Hilly, Natural History Hike

Starting from the 50-foot Christmas tree at the south gate to the Capitol (Congress & 11th St)

Join us for a 4-5 mile easy-paced city hike along the Shoal Creek greenway and through the Castle Hill neighborhood.  As we walk we'll discuss the history of the area, the effects of urban development, and the Pease Park Master Plan.  OK to bring a well-behaved pet on a leash.  Join us for lunch afterwards.

The club appreciates a donation of a few dollars to support our conservation and outreach programs.

Consider taking Cap Metro to the event.  Free street parking is typically available in the 1100 block of Colorado St, just west of the Capitol.

Perfect weather for a leisurely hike. The singing tree at the Capitol was interesting. I agree with Andrea that it was a fun hike.

I'm surprised by the level of growth I've seen since becoming an organizer, it's given me more confidence in my abilities.
