Birding Tour on Lady Bird Lake

On kayaks, check out waterbirds like the ring-billed gull wintering on the lake downtown. Cormorants, coots, bufflehead, egrets, wood ducks, great blue heron, etc.  Meet at Waller Creek Boathouse. Must be able to swim. PFD's (lifejackets) will be provided.  Kayak rental is $10.  We will cruise around in the Congress Avenue Bridge to I-35 bridge area.

If you want to bring your own kayak or canoe, you can launch at the Holiday Inn Boat Ramp near the I-35 bridge and paddle up to the docks to join us.

Ashley, we will go out unless it's raining hard. Light, occasional showers shouldn't be a problem. Let's hope for that.

I've never been kayaking before and it's been over a decade since I've canoed, so I hope someone can show me.

Like Sandra C, I love the activity, but the date just doesn't work. Have a great time, and get some photos to share, OK?

This is right up my alley as I paddle the outrigger canoes on Town Lake regularly and am always watching for the birds. Unfortunately, the date doesn't work for me so I'll have to catch you all next time..

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
