Twin Creeks hike

Join us for a hike at Twin Creeks in Cedar Park. This is an easy 2-4 mile hike. Afterwards we can also hike at the nearby Discovery Wells Cave Preserve and then get lunch at a nearby café.

From Austin, go north on Hwy. 183 and exit onto Anderson Mill Rd. Turn left onto Anderson Mill Road and go west several miles. Pass Hwy 620 and turn left at the light at Twin Creeks Club Dr. (if you get to Cypress Creek Dr., you’ve gone one light too far). Go one block on Twin Creeks Club until you get to a small traffic circle. Turn left onto Dervingham and take a quick right into the parking lot by a playscape (this is directly across the street from 2302 Dervingham). We may postpone this hike if the temperature is below 45 degrees.

If you get lost, my cell phone is 940-5435.

    This was an enjoyable hike. Didn't feel like we were in a residential neighborhood at all, and, as usual, Paul did a great job leading the activity. Thanks!

    This isn't looking too promising right now with it raining. If it clears up by 9:00 are we still on?

    Ya'll;
    Tennis shoes will be fine on these hikes. Each should last less than one hour. Bring water and a hat if you wish.
    Call me at[masked] if you get lost on the way.
    The weather should be nice and warm.

    All, I am fairly new to Austin so how long will it take me to get there if I leave Austin (South first and William Cannon) at 8am?
    Also, I don't have hiking attire. Is this some full on serious hike or will tennis shoes be OK? In other words, are we just going to be walking along trails and stuff? I want to know so I can buy some stuff if needed.

      Hi Curt! I haven't hiked this area, but for most of the hikes I've been on, tennis shoes would work. You should be OK.

      Likely RSVP's were accidentally closed, so they are now re-opened... Thanks

    So is this just a hike around a residential neighborhood?

    November 20, 2012

    • Emily M.

      Leslie, it's a pretty greenbelt by a creek in between houses but in a valley. It's nice with little waterfalls and a historic site

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
