Hi, I'm Michael
How long have you been a tea lover?
I've been a tea liker-very-mucher for a few decades. I have a broad pallet for tea and I don't know if that's indicative of a lack of gustatory sensitivity, as yet uncultivated taste buds, or...if I just have a broad pallet. I would be interested to discover if there is real love for tea in my tongue - and this seems like a good way to find out.
What are some of your favorite types of teas?
Oh, all sorts. I always enjoy Darjeeling (I've only had the black), I also love this Ethiopian spiced tea they serve at Meskerem, the Turkish apple tea at Turkuaz, this wondrous chai my aunt keeps. I like functional teas as well, like slippery birch or valerian root tea, as needed.
What are some of your favorite spots around town for tea?
I'm not familiar with the tea spots around town. Hopefully, as part of this group, I might find some.
