How to train your client
(Matt Riopelle, Digital Project Designer, @mattriopelle)
We all know well that there's no such thing as a perfect project or a perfect client. But if you find yours more frustrating than fun, more pain than profit, then it might be time for some client training. In this session, learn to teach your clients how to work with you and gain control over your projects. Matt will cover the hidden deals you make that cost you time and money, the behaviors that undermine your credibility and process, and what every client really wants out of the project.

Agile for agencies
(William Yarbrough, Rob Jones, Janis Gonser, Todd Nienkerk)
"Yes, but can you do agile?" is phrase often asked of agencies or shops -- but can you truly use agile project management methodologies in an agency environment? Our panel of experts will discuss the pros and cons of incorporating an agile project management methodology at the vendor level.

Hello everyone. Just moved to Austin, temporarily, 3 weeks ago after quitting my day job with Samsung in Seoul. Currently with MakerSquare learning ruby on rails. Looking forward to meeting you all. Cheers!

I'm so sorry to miss this presentation, but have deal with some last minute client work instead. Which probably indicates I really, really need to learn more about training my clients. ;-)

D you have to be a web professional to be apart of this group?

There's never a charge to get into one of our regular meetups. We require a donation to a charity of our choice for entry to our two annual parties, the Refresh Austin Summer Party and the Austin Web Bash.

How set in stone is the date? I noticed it changed from Wednesday to Tuesday, and I'll need to ask for that evening off from work.
