Hi Everyone,

Co- Ed Event

If you havent been to the Opera, here is your chance--Austin Opera generally has 3 shows and this is the last one in the season--I purchased the inexpensive tickets, inadvance as to get the best seats in that price range--should be a lovely April afternoon--lets enjoy together at the opera--

Something from their web page

I purchased tickets for Sunday--$19

Level UBal--Sec UBal Row J seats[masked]

Charles Gounod's

Would you strike a deal with the devil?

Faust, an aging scholar, wants another chance at youth and love, and forges a malevolent pact with Méphistophélès to seduce the beautiful and innocent Marguerite.

What follows is a struggle between good and evil that is destined for tragedy as only great opera can tell it. Abounding with Gounod’s unforgettable melodies, this new production by Bernard Uzan was a “triumph” at its Arizona premiere.

DON’T MISS the Austin debut of bass-baritone Jamie Offenbach in the role of Méphistophélès. Offenbach has been praised as “made for the part.”

Hope to see you there

I enjoyed the first half--My idea was to spend time with my teenager--we left and went and had ice cream, traveled through Rainey Street, and had a picnic at Auditoruim Shores--So--it was a FABULOUS afternoon with my son--

I enjoyed it! It was my first exposure to Opera since elementary school. I'm VERY glad that they had that title bar running! Thanks for organizing it Wendy. I'm sorry that I didn't see you! (I looked at the first intermission) What did your son think of it?

    Hi ladies,
Something that I have found that is free for ticket holders, and sounds fun and fabulous--I will be there at 200pm to see it--
Opera Overtures are free pre-show lectures for ticket holders starting one hour before every Austin Lyric Opera performance. These lectures include audio samples and entertaining anecdotes about the composer, the librettist and other fascinating information that provide historical context and enhance the enjoyment of attendees.

Opera Overtures encourages people to arrive at The Long Center early, grab a drink and make the most of their evening at the opera!

I'll try to be there at 2 as well. Also there is a festival in the area so traffic may be heavy.

I bought a ticket at D128. (Seat type B (dark pink). The cheap seats are too far for my poor eyes.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
