You can recover from mental illness, along with substance abuse. Without help, these two no-fault illnesses interact to make each other worse. Working on just one didn't solve our problems. Maybe it's not solving yours.
In DRA (Dual Recovery Anonymous), we're non-judgmental and very accepting of differences. We find that we're able to share things about ourselves in this group that we can't discuss anywhere else.
You do not have to join this group. If you wish to learn more and get directions to a meeting while preserving your anonymity, or if you have any questions, you can send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
If you do wish to join the group, please be sure you won't mind the fact that your membership is public (semi-private) information. Once someone becomes a member, their personal info as provided - like picture and name - is visible to all other members. Non-members can only see the group description and the number of members.
We will preserve your anonymity within the group itself, but beyond that it's up to you.
Though this is an established group that meets at regular times at the same place, we still encourage you to RSVP. There are quite a few who don't RSVP, don't let that discourage you from coming. The number of people changes from meeting to meeting, but there are always several members attending.
