"Acting is really scary, but it's also challenging, fun, hard work. There's always an element of improvisation with every actor, even when something is really scripted. " Michael Pitt Every great Actor knows that at some point you're going to be called upon to create a part of a scene or script without the aid of your support staff. When push comes to shove and all the chips are on the table it is ultimately YOU who will be chosen to save the scene and take something which could be a complete stale moment of film lost forever and transform it into a scene of sheer movie brilliance with raw passion and acting skill holding it all together. In this class we're going to be practicing our improvisational skills in the field of acting. To bring: prepare in advance an idea for a location, a genre, a career and a hope, pain or fear To do: We'll be dividing into groups and chosen from amongst them a scene to create and perform back to the rest of the class To go: Galaxy Dance studios, 1700 S Lamar, Suite 338, Austin, TX 78704 ( Studio 4 I think) Ask for Austin Acting Time: 7pm on Sunday, January the 31st This is the first real workshop event we'll be doing for 2010 If you are serious about acting, and want to improve your skills then you're going to want to be there. It'll be a great chance to meet the rest of the gang and get involved! Look forward to seeing you all there! (I'm paying for the venue this time so all you need to do is bring yourselves and a willingness to act! That and chocolate...lots of chocolate... Prefereably Dove...just kidding)

Adam, you are the bomb! You have such a kind and positive energy!! It is very contagious! Awesome time last night! Thank you to everyone there for making me feel a part of the group. The skits, exercises, what ever you want to call them were fun not only to participate in, but to watch as well and thank you Stan for making the drive from Houston and bringing your camera. Those nasty little procrastinators that did not show up, sure did miss out !!! Cant wait until next month..

Awesome! Adam did a great job of organizing the meet up so that we all learned something. He had a videographer there so we can critique our work. The exercises were a blast! I will definitely be back...

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
