Boat Parade and Chili Cook-off

There are lots of New Year’s traditions….jumping in Barton Springs Pool, eating black eyed peas for good luck, eating cabbage for wealth and what you do on New Year’s Day you will do all year!

This year we're promoting a Boat Parade and Chili Cook-off. Show up with a crazy hat and bring your favorite chili in a crock pot. After the parade we will head to MOC’s for games and a chili contest. Next year we’ll pick a theme and decorate our boats.

The weather forecast for January 1, 2013, high of 59 N 8 mph and 50% rain.

Be adventurous...wear the appropriate gear and this is sure to be a lot of fun. See ya there!

Thanks Lori for the extras goodies, photos and champagne. Teresa, Patrick and Jim had the adventurous spirit and kayaked. Bryan made chili with wild game and I won at farkle. Add Bryan’s son and Dan’s sweetie makes a total of 8. In spite of the weather we enjoyed three types of chili, a variety of condiments and lots of laughter.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
