Heck, I am up to learning what I can to hone my skills on handling situations, techniques, etc. Reading guide books is good and all, but seeing and doing is better.
Not sure, I have some good basics down.
Flat water, Lakes, small rapids, camping. My biggest adventures recently was yaking on San Marcos. First put in at City Park. Never again while tubers there. I did manage to maneuver around them without hitting anyone. Now, that is a feat. Next trip put in at SM River Retreat through TGCK. Once past tubers, had a great time! Note to self, avoid low hanging branches over rapids. Swept me off my boat, that was a first.
Austin, Hill Country, Houston
Fairly new to kayaking, learned how to paddle around 2006 and only get out on the lake maybe 3 times a year on borrowed kayaks. I have now purchased my own yak and look forward to making this more of a regular hobby.
