Great Beer Run last night! Excellent crew of newbies (including someone who knew the former SoCo Run Club) and regulars. Cool weather warmed up during the run, and the amended night route looks like it will work. My favorite part, though, was seeing the group pull our two tables together and everyone sitting round talking like a big family. Good times!

We're starting in the opposite direction from the DST route:

From Doc's take light at Nellie across Congress and up to Newton

    Take a left at Newton

    Right on Monroe

    Right on 1st Street

    Left on Barton Springs

Cut over using the pedestrian crosswalk across from the Long Center.

Right into butler park next to Dougherty Arts Center

Take a right on the nice big sidewalks through the splash pad/spiral mound, pond w/docks area.

Right on Riverside in front of the Long Center

REMAINING PORTION TO BE TWEAKED TO AVOID SOME TRAFFIC LIGHTS (NATHAN WILL COVER IT BEFORE THE RUN)

    Right on 1st

    Left on Barton Springs

    Right on Riverside

Cross Congress and go up to Doc's

New and even more improved route to be unveiled this evening!
Bring your leg warmers! 3.5 miles of pre-chilled triumph await you this evening! I hear Doc's serves brandy for those who aren't into an ice cold beer after an ice cold run............
