Thunderstone + Open Gaming @ Jodin's

It's that time boys and girls, time to gear up, sharpen your swords, memorize your spells, hire your henchmen, and head into the dark dungeon to fight goblins, the undead, crazy bird people, and .... what the hell was that? So come on out and let's play Thunderstone!

First priority for this event is to play Thunderstone and the game plays with five max. I got to have my Thunderstone fix. If others want to come out and play something different, they are welcome to. I have a second table that can be used for a game of your choice.

Feel free to bring any snacks or drinks that you like (not required by any means).

My address will be emailed to you once you RSVP for the event.

One more thing, I have a small Jack Russell named Reggie who loves board game parties.

If you have any questions, feel free to call me at[masked]-4132.

Hey Johann. According to the forum on boardgame geek we played the boss Mowtil correctly. http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/907655/mowtil-question-about-add-health-1-for-each-card

That helps. Though I will still grumble and mutter about any game that requires checking BGG for rules clarification on a regular card.

Yes, I would be less forgiving of the game, if it were not for the fact it is the only one of its kind. If someone were to come out with a deck building game with comparable artwork, feel, and better wording, I would probably switch to it.

Great time with other gamers. Need to take a closer look at Thunderstone. It felt like we spent half the game looking up rules or debating the wording of specific cards.

Ok, I am trying to get there, but I am clearly late. Does it still make sense to come?

It's up to you. We are still waiting on a few.

Good news! David bought a copy of the base game of Thunderstone yesterday, so yes, we can play two sets of the game simultaneously and more players can join in if they want.

Susan, you don't need to bring anything. Most guests in the past have brought things like chips and salsa, pretzels, cheese puffs, yogurt pretzels. I think Priscilla has been the only person to actually make a dish of some kind and bring it. She brought baked macaroni in cupcake cups.

Oh yeah, David brought barbacoa one time and tortillas and home made salsa. That was a rare occasion though and a real treat.

We have more than 5 (through other groups), so some of you may not get to play Thunderstone, but you are welcome to play a different game when you get here or play a game of Thunderstone after the first game is played. A typical game of Thunderstone from what I have seen is at least 2 hours. It's not a short game.
