Video game: Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike. Some of the best design work in fighting games is in that one. Sci-Fi/Fantasy: Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country. Not only the best Star Trek film, but one of the best science fiction films too. Comic: Action Comics #775. "What's So Funny About Truth, Justice, and the American Way?" Simply one of the best Superman stories ever told, and it easily rates with stories like "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" and "Red Son". It's incredibly hopeful, something I think comics really need to bring to the table now more than ever. Book: The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. I know this is kind of a gimme, but there's too much greatness there. I could read Julius Caesar, Henry VIII, MacBeth, and The Tempest over and over and over again and still find new stuff to enjoy. Weirdly, not that into Hamlet or Romeo & Juliet but Othello is still awesome.
To live long and prosper, what could be more important?
Seeing if they do cool things on the few nights I'm free.
I'm a writer, community organizer, and game designer living in Austin. I enjoy basically all parts of the nerd pie.
