Hey guys; good discussions came out of tonight's meetup... One I didn't want to let get away was all the suggestions for locations for LAN gatherings, gaming parties, etc.

If you have places to recommend, could you chime with those here?

The name I heard kicked around most was Tek Republik for PC & consoles, but I know there were others, including Pinballz for arcade gaming. What other places should we consider while planning future events?

Let me recommend Mothership Games near Parmer & MoPac. Derrick, the owner, is a member of our meetup and a heckuva nice guy. He would be delighted to host gaming events there.

Mothership, right! That's one I knew I was forgetting. Also, thanks to Nich in the event thread for linking to this article that lists pretty much everything mentioned yesterday, plus others!

Hi! Gamerz-Lakeline and Gamerz Galaxy (Hancock) actually have a small lan in the back of each store. Hancock is a more open area and doesn't require mall hours, which has made our team birthday parties and meetings a bit more fun. I'd be happy to make it available for y'all if you want.

Don't forget Apollo games for retail.

They are really friendly and care about the customer. They will also find nearly any game brand new, it may cost some extra money but they have found many games for me brand new from older systems.
