Austin Geeks and Gamers Message Board › Come get scared and support a good cause
Greetings my fellow geeks and gamers!
I don’t often use this meetup list for any kind of promotion, but this is a cause and an event I have been involved with since the beginning, and I want to encourage all of you to join in the fun. Come on out for “Scare for a Cure”!
“Scare for a Cure” is part haunted house, part improvisational theater, part Live-Action Role-Playing Game, and all fun. The origins of Scare go all the way back to Richard “Lord British” Garriott’s infamous “Britannia Manor” Haunted House, which had people camping out for days waiting to go through. It is a 45-minute haunted adventure where you have to climb, crawl, and slide. You will interact with characters, find clues, and solve puzzles to survive. And best of all, the proceeds all go to the Austin Breast Cancer Resource Center.
You can see more details on this year’s production, “Fairy Tale Nightmare”, at http://www.scareforac... . If you can join us for a group outing, see our meetup event at http://www.meetup.com... .
I hope to see you there!
Your fellow geek,
Jeff “Johann” Johannigman
