This Sunday will be another "introductory" meeting - the topic was picked specifically to be of interest to those new to Objectivism and wanting to learn more about it.
We'll see a video introduction to Objectivism by Dr. Harry Binswanger, a long-time associate of Ayn Rand. It was delivered at Harvard in 1996 as part of the "Ayn Rand Comes to Harvard" lecture series. The lecture is titled "Ayn Rand's Philosophic Revolution". In the process of introducing Objectivism, Dr. Binswanger will defend Rand's claim to have presented the first fully, consistently rational philosophy. He is a professor of philosophy at the Ayn Rand Institute's Objectivist Academic Center, wrote The Biological Basis of Teleological Concepts and edited The Ayn Rand Lexicon: Objectivism from A to Z. His lecture is the best of the three introductory lectures shown on campus in 2008, and I encourage you all to come and see (or review) and discuss it.
