Letting Birds Be Birds! - Phoebe Linden Green Workshop Weekend (Day 1)

AGE Building (Austin Groups for the Elderly Building) (map)

Phoebe Green Linden Workshop Weekend!

Saturday Oct 16th: 9:00 am – 5:00ish ($30.00 per person) Phoebe’s main topic is going to be on “Letting Birds Be Birds”, but she will discuss creating trans-species community – in other words, allowing your pet to be part of the family and letting them become active participants in the environment, rather than being a prisoner of our whims and unrealistic expectations. Along with that will be a lot of discussion about enrichment, foraging, how to handle hormonal/nesting behavioral problems by changing/improving the environment, etc.

There will also be a raffle of excited parrot related items!

Sunday Oct 17th: Phoebe will be conducting consultations. (FREE- although donations are appreciated)
Group Consult – 9:00am – 12:00pm - During group consultations, we will all have the opportunity to ask questions regarding all aspects of bird care.

Private Consults – (LIMITED) – (suggested donation of $50.00)–1 pm (All other times have been taken)

Tickets may be purchased at www.austinparrotsociety.com

Would like to attend this meeting but would rather pay for it in person at the next meeting? Do we have to use the paypal account or can I give you cash between now and then?

I absolutely LOVED Phoebe's presentation! She gave us all an amazing perspective about living with our parrots. Her passion for parrots is phenomenal! There were many laughs and even some tears. I just wish I had more time with her. :o)

Different than I was expecting, but wonderful. Gave me alot to think about. And I loved learning about the wild parrots on Phoebe's property!

What a great day! Like-minded people and a speaker who sees animals as companion-teachers with whom we cohabitate, but are responsible for. Good theory base without being preachy about "what" should be done.

I was only able to attend for half a day, and it was well worth it! Thank you, Phoebe; and thanks to Jamie, Emily, and Tracy for organizing the whole thing!
