We created this group to give the Austin Parrot Society a place to communicate in between our monthly meetings. I joined the APS to learn more about living & learning with companion parrots & meet like minded people to share with & learn from.

She is adjusting well, she seems to love having a cage at night, I think it is a security thing...And I take her out in the am and she goes downstairs to play and talk with the others...he is allowing us to pet her and move her back and forth without issue, I worry about her eating, she has trouble holding things so I have to chop everything really small....the others like to have their food chunky.

So I picked up Ixchel at Emilys house yesterday, are you still considering the AG at her house? It is really in good shape, looks healthy, although it would bite me in a heart beat. lol Planning to go to the Christmas party,if you want to car pool give me a call....

Oh, I thought I read a post from you talking about a U2, sorry! Well, since they are different, do you know anyone who has a Lesser Sulpher Crested who I can contact?

Hi Tracey, Anne here. I'm still researching and noticed that you have a U2. As luck would have it I have been contacted about taking a 4 yr old Lesser that needs re-homing because it's owner lost his job and had to move in with family. I'm tempted to take it for the experience since the lady who rescued it has agreed to take it back if it doesn't work out. I have not accepted yet. I was wondering if you could talk with me about your experiences with Cockatoos? Would it be ok for me to call you?
