It was a gorgeous day to be out on the water. The instructors and volunteers were patient and taught the basics step by step that made it easy for me to enjoy the short lesson on rowing. I had a great time!

This was alot of fun. I'm considering taking the Basic Course and joining the Austin Rowing Club. Thanks so much for offering the free class.

Beautiful afternoon on the water, though a bit hot. About 150 people showed up (this was open to the public), plus about 45 volunteers from Austin Rowing Club. Lots from Meetup.com. The reservation system seemed to work smoothly -- people didn't have to wait very long. Everyone I talked with seemed to enjoy trying rowing. All the volunteers from Austin Rowing Club (including me) enjoyed showing new people about rowing (I certainly did!).

So much fun! I agree that it was a bit hot... however I went to Barton Springs afterward so everything turned out nicely.
