Welcome to the Taoist Tai Chi Society®-Austin Meetup Group!
Taoist Tai Chi® internal arts of health incorporate stretching and turning into a sequence of movements that improve the health of body, mind, and spirit. They reduce tension, improve circulation and balance, and increase strength and flexibility.
Over time, these internal arts reach deep inside the body to benefit its entire physiology and restore the calmness and peace of mind often lost through the excessive desires and anxieties of daily life.
And practicing with friends in a class is a lot of fun as well!
What are the Taoist Tai Chi® movements?
The physical part of Taoist Tai Chi® internal arts of health consists of the basic principles, known as the basic exercises and movements that set of 108 forms.
Wow, 108 moves sounds like a lot, doesn't it?
Not really. We don't ask our students to memorize these forms. Just practice them, and before you know it, these forms are part of your muscle memory.
Beginning classes meet once a week and are offered in Cedar Park and Georgetown. It takes about three months to learn the sequence of 108 moves and begin a lifetime of exploring the depths of the Taoist Tai Chi® internal arts of health.
We also offer a weekly Introduction to Tai Chi and Seniors class in Round Rock on Fridays.
New classes begin every month! Look for the New Beginner Class events on our web site or this Austin Taoist Tai Chi® Meetup group calendar. Each class meets weekly.
Try the first class FREE! Drop in the first or second week of a new beginner class to learn the first few moves of the set.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
