Pedernales Falls State Park is about an hour drive West of Austin in Johnson City. There are many sights along the 7 mile hiking trail, including a duck pond, a quarter-mile nature trail to a scenic overlook of Twin Falls, and Arrowhead pool.
We'll start with the 4 mile loop trail, then after a short break to enjoy the scenery, we can explore the rest of the park. I recommend bringing at least sunscreen, snack food, and water. Dry clothes if you want to swim. Admission to the park is $6 per person. Pets are allowed.
We'll meet at the park at 1:00pm Saturday afternoon. See the map on the TPWD website to find the parking area near the park headquarters. Note that TPWD the map is rotated 90 degrees so North is to the left. If you want to carpool or are willing to drive, please post in the comments below and we can work it out.
