The quality of wine in Italy has improved dramatically. In the past, the focus was on making a whole lot of wine from whatever was available, so the wine was relatively unremarkable (with exceptions, of course). There were always expensive wine, but the affordable Italian wine was thin and boring. Modern Chianti is much bolder and zestier than old Chianti , up to a third used to be cheap white Trebbiano. To compete with the great value wines from South America and Spain, the Italian winemakers have modernized their production and flavors. Join us at Cork & Co. for our next class "The Wines of Italy". We will enjoy four wines along with snack plates. Your AWT Sommelier "Penguin" will be pouring. Seating is limited to 18. Register at the link below to guarantee a seat. See you there.
