Lori, one of our most active hosts, is inviting us to her birthday party on Saturday the 22nd of May. She will have just returned from Peru, so she will have lots of exciting things to tell us. She chose a theme of white wines, but in order to give you some guidance, I'm going to suggest a few possible wines / regions.
Bring a clean, refreshing white like a Sauvignon Blanc, or a Pinot Grigio/Gris. In case you are feeling up to something more challenging, bring a Chablis, or a sparkling white not from Champagne or California. (Prosecco and Cremant d'Alsace, or even Vinho Verde come to mind as good options here.)
The party and tasting will be from 3 to 6 pm, and will take place downtown. Bring a light appetizer to go with your wine. Bring a glass, if you like to drink out of wine glasses. (There are glasses at the location, but no wine glasses.) I will send directions out the Thursday before the event.
Please don't try RSVPing Maybe or Yes simply to reserve a spot without looking at your schedule. There will be a waiting list. When planning events, it is helpful to know who really thinks they will be attending, so take this into consideration.
Hope you can make it!
