Welcome Wino! Don't be shy, please tell us a bit about yourself, and your interest in/love of wine, including your favorites.

Switching gears away from brews (not entirely) & back to wines. Excited to meet a knowledgeable group to help introduce me to the many wines I've missed out on. I'm a huge sucker for old vine Zins & Pinot Noirs & more recently have really been enjoying Petite Syrahs & Cab Francs. White wine is rarely my first choice, however given the environment & setting I won't say no to a white wine.

Which wineries In the Texas Hill Country have you visited?

Driftwood is my favorite to visit...spent a lot of Sunday afternoons there in the past. I recently took part in Solaro's Barbera harvest and I've visited the majority of vineyards between Austin & Fredericksburg, Westcave Cellars and William Chris are quickly becoming places I have to stop.

What is your favorite Austin wine bar?

My favorite wine bars in Austin are Wink, House Wine, Vino Vino, and more recently began enjoying the Red Room Lounge.

Drinking wine & beer is purely for enjoyment. I'm fascinated by the craft of brewing & wine making. Wine provides a bit of yin to my yang!
