July 29 wrap-up!

Well, the Kuly 29 meetup went great! I think 20 rsvp slots will be perfect to allow for a solid group each time, and even though we were short a few who had RSVP'd this time, the number was just about perfect.

If you missed this one, please do RSVP soon for the next one, [last Sunday of each month] Aug 26 at 1pm at Dominican Joe.

We had an excellent conversation about the intricacies of historical detail versus 'trueness to the story' in historical fiction and other speculative fiction types. It was probably the strongest topic-discussion run we've had yet! It's exciting.

Although no-one shared writing samples for feedback in the minutes before the official meeting, it's a welcome that I will continue to extend for future ones.

See you at the next one! Please, if you've always wanted to go and haven't yet, do RSVP when you are able. We've got a strong group getting stronger, with side events now happening spontaneously between members who connect and talk. Also, hopefully the resources mentioned will me posted to the open webboard we have for this group, at

http://www.austinwriters.net/

Thanks for all your enthusiasm!
